We were asked to be involved in an episode of BBC Countryfile about Harvest at the Gaddesden Estate.

Despite the wet weather, the children had a fantastic day full of so many experiences and opportunities.

The children, with wetsuits at the ready, showed Matt Baker around the kitchen garden and the different vegetables that were growing there.

We got an opportunity to pick a variety of vegetables, wash and taste them. They saw an extravagant Harvest Loaf, baked by a local baker. The children learnt about the equipment used to film the programme and at the end joined in with everyone at a Harvest Supper in the field by the combine harvester.

Such a great day was had by all!
